Dylan Mulvaney has left the US and headed for Peru in order to feel "safe."

Taking to TikTok, the 26-year-old social media personality updated her fans on her new location after fleeing the States to get some space and do some much-needed soul-searching.

The transgender influencer was thrust into the spotlight earlier this year after her collaboration with popular beer company Bud Light, which seemingly upset a lot of customers. In response, both Mulvaney and the beverage company doubled down on the collaboration, but just a few months later, it now seems as though there have been communication issues between the two themselves.

Check out the video that caught flak from conservative beer drinkers:

In June, the activist expressed her disappointment in the company, telling her millions of followers that she was "waiting for the brand to reach out" to her.

"I was waiting for the brand to reach out to me, but they never did. I've been scared to leave my house. For a company to hire a trans person and then not publicly stand by them is worse than not hiring a trans person at all."

Anheuser-Busch, the parent company of Bud Light which has allegedly suffered a $20 million loss in market cap value since the March Madness advertisement, responded to the criticism in a statement.

"The privacy and safety of our employees and our partners is always our top priority. As we move forward, we will focus on what we do best – brewing great beer for everyone and earning our place in moments that matter to our consumers."

Though it did not directly address Mulvaney, the timing and the content of the message signified that it was in response to the 26-year-old's comments.

In the wake of all the drama, the social media personality has now decided to take some much-needed time out and has left the United States to seek refuge in Peru.

The star made the announcement on TikTok, telling her 10.7 million fans that she went to South America to "feel something."

"Okay surprise! I'm in Peru! I'm at Machu Picchu. Isn't this so beautiful?," she said in a recent video. "I came here to feel something. And I definitely have. I have done shaman ceremonies that were like 10 years worth of therapy, it was wild."

She continued: "I've seen a lot of llamas. The people here are so kind. I feel very safe here. It's a little sad that I had to leave my country to feel safe but that will get get better eventually.

The star then went on to talk about how she was craving some "Trader Joes rolled chilli lime chips" but other than that "[she is] so content."

"I still haven't been kissed yet but I'm holding out hope," she said before adding: "Most of all this trip has me feeling like my own best friend again. And that is the best feeling in the world."

In other follow-up videos, Mulvaney can be seen spending some quality time with llamas. Though the two seemed to be initially getting along, the clip ends with the fluffy animal chewing on her hair, causing her to shout out.

It's nice to see that Mulvaney is prioritzing self-care during this difficult period for her.
