Elliot Page has claimed he had sex with his Juno co-star "all the time" as the pair filmed the 2007 teen movie.

The 37-year-old rose to fame in the flick, alongside fellow actor Michael Cera, and made some revelations while on the promotional trail for his memoir Pageboy.

The book - which was released last summer - is a personal story focused on exploring Page's relationship with his body, his experiences as a famous trans person, mental health, assault, love and sex, and Hollywood in general.

In a previous interview with People, Page admitted he had been nervous about the book's impending release. "I didn't think I could write a book. Books, particularly memoirs, have really shifted my life, offered me inspiration, comfort, been humbling, all of those things.

"And I think this period of not just hate, of course, but misinformation or just blatant lies about LGTBQ+ lives, about our healthcare, it felt like the right time."

Page - who has been incredibly transparent about his transition and journey to finding self-acceptance - made several revelations in the book, including that he had an affair with actress Kate Mara, who was dating The Handmaid's Tale actor Max Minghella at the time.

"[The relationship] was right after I'd come out as gay and it was a time of exploration and also heartbreak," he said. "I think my relationship, or whatever you want to call it with Kate, very much encapsulates a certain dynamic that I consistently found myself in, which was falling for people that - I think a lot of us do this - who aren't fully available."

Mara isn't the only one of his famous lovers who got a mention in the book. Page also shared that, while filming Juno, he would have sex "all the time" with his co-star Olivia Thirlby.

According to an excerpt of Page's memoir published in The Daily Beast, Pages says he was "taken aback the moment I saw" Thirlby. He says they "stood in her hotel room" with Billie Holliday playing in the background.

At that time Thirlby, 37, was "about to start making lunch, when she looked directly at me and said point-blank, 'I'm really attracted to you.'"

Page then writes that he told her he was "really attracted" to her too. "At that point we started sucking face. It was on... we started having sex all the time: her hotel room, in our trailers at work, once in a tiny, private room in a restaurant," Page continued.

He added: "Ironically, playing a pregnant teenager was one of the first times I felt a modicum of autonomy on set. I was wearing a fake belly but not being hyperfeminized. For me, Juno was emblematic of what could be possible, a space beyond the binary."

Page publicly came out as gay in 2014 and then as transgender in 2020.
