A bizarre detail on Emily Blunt's Oscars gown has left viewers scratching their heads.
On Sunday (March 10), we were treated to a host of amazing moments at the Oscars while celebrating all things TV and cinema over the past year.
The event, which saw big-name stars such as Margot Robbie, Cillian Murphy, and Emma Stone show up in the hopes of expanding their trophy collection, was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and gave us some well-needed entertainment to close this section of award season.
But perhaps the best part of the event? The outfits.
Stars ditched their usual get-up for suits and ties and gowns and glitter, with many going viral online for their choice of attire.
But one name that became a trending topic online was none other than Emily Blunt, with her champagne Schiaparelli couture gown with a high-leg slit and silver detailing.
The star, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the prestigious event, paired the look with a silver Tiffany & Co. layered necklace as well as a pear-shaped diamond on her middle finger.
As for her hair and makeup, the 41-year-old opted for soft glam and a sleek, high bun, making sure to keep all the attention on the gown.

While the fit was pretty fire, some eagle-eyed fans noticed something strange and took to X to express their confusion.
"So I love Emily Blunt - but what’s up with the weird molded dress straps? #Oscars," wrote one user.
"Find someone who will respect your personal space the way the straps on Emily Blunt’s dress respects hers #Oscar2024 #OSCAR," another added.
A third described the straps as "levitating", using a still of Spongebob to prove what they meant.
Blunt wasn't the only one who went for this type of look, with Florence Pugh also getting on the levitating strap hype.
The Oppenheimer actress arrived in a silver Del Core dress featuring a sculpted sheer bodice with delicate beading, and a flowing trail in the back.
Pugh, who was styled by Rebecca Corbin Murray, accessorized with Bulgari jewels and Piferi platform heels and wore her hair swept to one side.
But again, the straps of her dress also became viral, with many questioning why they weren't touching her body.
I mean she looked amazing, so who cares right?
