Emma Roberts has put her mother on blast for sharing a photo of her son’s face without her permission.
The 32-year-old Scream Queens actress disclosed on her Instagram Stories that her mother, Kelly Cunningham, had posted a photograph of her two-year-old son named Rhodes on social media.
The picture shows the former Nickelodeon star's toddler standing in a pile of leaves and facing the camera, revealing his entire face.
Roberts then took to the platform to repost the photograph and wrote: "When your mom posts your son’s face without asking but you love them both so whatever."
But it seems there's no bad blood as Cunningham poked fun at her daughter's Instagram story by re-sharing it on her page.
In the caption, she penned: "The battle continues!! I love you Q!! Touche," which indicates that this could just be a lighthearted joke with the mother-daughter duo.
However, this is not the first time that the Wild Child actress' mother has publicized details about her personal life on social media.
In 2020, Roberts was featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live and said that her mother accidentally "spilled the beans" about her pregnancy before she had officially announced the joyful news herself.
"I was keeping my pregnancy pretty low-key, but unfortunately my mother has Instagram. Mothers and Instagram, it’s a bad combination," Roberts told the host.
The American Horror Story star claimed that while her mother was replying to fans' messages on Instagram, she accidentally disclosed that her daughter was expectant.
"It was a disaster, and I found it all out on a plane so I couldn’t get to her, I couldn’t call her or attack her," Roberts explained at the time. "I could just iMessage with her and DMed her and ask her to please stop."
"She was like, 'Thank you so much for the well wishes, we are so excited,'" she described. "My friends were sending me screengrabs, it was like unbelievable."
"And then when I said to her, 'Mom you revealed my pregnancy,' she goes, 'Emma, you announced it.' And I said, 'No I didn’t, that was a tabloid.' She was like, 'Oh, that wasn’t clear,'" she added.
The We're The Millers star - who shares her son with ex-boyfriend Garrett Hedlund - only posts pictures of her son on social media where his face isn't visible.
Last week, she posted a heartwarming snap of her and Rhodes spending the day at a park. In the picture, she is beaming at the camera while the toddler is facing away. She captioned the sweet image: "Park day with my angel boy."
Roberts recently opened up to Tatler magazine about her experience as a first-time mother and said: "I definitely think about how I can help him be the utmost gentleman. I want him to be respectful and intelligent at school but also in life."
"What it means to be a man is being rewritten right now and I hope my contribution to the world can be raising an amazing boy who turns into an amazing man," she added. "I want him to feel that there’s nothing he couldn’t ask or tell me."
