Emmy Rossum perfectly claps back at troll who claims she gets 'paid to get naked on TV'
With the November 2020 presidential election just weeks away, tensions are rising as increasing numbers of people begin to express their political views online.
However, because it is such a divisive race, when a celebrity favors one candidate over another, as Emmy Rossum did during last night's Vice Presidential debate, it inevitably prompts more than a few trolls to make an appearance.
During the live televised event, Emmy tweeted: "Can't wait to get my I'M SPEAKING t-shirt," in reference to Senator Kamala Harris' telling current Vice President Mike Pence off for interrupting her.

In response to this, a troll named Carl decided to reply: "Yeah your shirts that say I GET PAID TO GET NAKED ON TV are sold out."

But instead of letting this comment slide, Rossum replied with the perfect clapback.
"I get paid to tell stories and life sometimes involves this awesome thing called sex. Maybe you've just never had any so you don’t know," she responded.
Ouch.

Needless to say, Rossum's fans absolutely loved her clapback.
One wrote: "Hee hee! As if the 'first lady' he so admires didn't get naked and a whole lot more. No shaming here, but he seems awfully worked up, yet hypocritical about it."

A second wrote: "What a boring way to attempt to discredit you. You're an amazing human. Forget the basement dweller narcissism."

A third remarked: "He's a self described 'sports enthusiast, gun owner, and pit bull owner', so yeah, good chance he hasn't [sic]."

Meanwhile, a fourth simply wrote: "You are my f**king hero."

Rossum, however, was far from the only person on Twitter to express her love for Kamala Harris' response to being interrupted by Mike Pence.
Loni Love wrote on Twitter: "When you have to listen to mansplaining #VPDebate."

A second Twitter user then shared a picture of some famous faces making the same unamused expression as Harris did during the debate, including Daenerys Targaryen.

One Twitter created a hilarious meme with the quote:

A second arguably made an even funnier meme, writing: "mr. vice president im SPEAKING [sic]."

In fact, Harris' actions during the debate actually inspired some women.
One wrote on Twitter: "'I'm speaking.' This should be a 101 taught to all young girls. Nobody taught us this in the '80s."

Some of Harris' facial expressions were also transformed into memes too,

This comes after a fly landed on Mike Pence's head during the debate and became the internet's new favorite meme.
Towards the end of Wednesday night's debate, a large housefly was caught on camera, buzzing around the Republican candidate, before landing and resting on the crown of his head for around two whole minutes.
Take a look at this footage of the bug's appearance during the debate:

The insect's appearance quickly became arguably the most memorable part of the night.
Per a recent report by BBC News, the phrase "the fly" has been tweeted and retweeted more than 700,000 times since the debate's conclusion. It quickly began trending on the social media platform, with a number of Twitter users jumping on the bandwagon.
