Following their recent arrests, Ezra Miller is now being accused of grooming a minor from the age of 12.
Per People, court documents filed on Tuesday in Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Court say the 29-year-old actor has been "controlling" Tokata Iron Eyes since the two met at Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota back in 2016.
Tokata's mother, Sara Jumping Eagle, and father, Chase Iron Eyes, claim that ever since Miller (who goes by pronouns they/them) met Tokata at the age of 23, they "took an immediate and apparently innocent liking" to them.
The teenager's parents also allege the actor gave their daughter alcohol and drugs substances like LSD and marijuana and displayed a "pattern of corrupting a minor."
The court documents read that Miller flew Tokata and other tribal members of Standing Rock to London, England, in December 2017 when Miller "attempted to sleep in the same bed" as Tokata, who was 14 at the time.
The document added that the actor was ultimately "prevented from sleeping in the same bed" with Tokata by a chaperone.
Tokata, now 18, is a young activist who has participated in events like Supercharge: Women All In in September 2020, the MAKERS Conference in February 2020, and All It Takes Lasting Legacy back in April 2018.
Tokata stated on Instagram on Monday (June 6) with the caption "CONTEXT," addressing "assumptions made on my behalf by my family and friends regarding my stability and otherwise."
They wrote that Miller has "only provided loving support and invaluable protection" after they dropped out of Bard College at Simon's Rock in Massachusetts in December.
Tokata also dismissed their father's concerns, writing: "My father and his allegations hold no weight and are frankly transphobic and based in the notion that I am somehow incapable of coherent thought or opposing opinions to those of my own kindred worrying about my well being."
"I am an adult and I deserve to feel authority in my own body," Tokata wrote, ending the note by saying they are excited to speak to a therapist about their "anxiety and probable depression".
However, Chase and Sara told People don't believe Tokata wrote that statement. They allege that their daughter doesn't have a phone.
The parent said they are worried for their daughter and revealed in the complaint that Miller shows "cult-like and psychologically manipulative, controlling behavior."
Chase and Sara stated that the Fantastic Beasts actor "uses violence, intimidation, the threat of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions, and drugs to hold sway over a young adolescent Tokata."
On Monday, the young activist shared a video of them laughing on a set of stairs with another friend, alongside Miller who appeared to be smoking.
Authorities have gotten involved and a judge signed the request for a protective order to prevent Miller from contacting or harassing Tokata and their parents and to prohibit them from coming within 100 years of their residence.
Additionally, the court shared that they "cannot locate or serve" the protective order to Miller because they and Tokata's location is unknown but a hearing is scheduled for July 12.
