Fans have rushed to defend Kim Kardashian after she was accused of yet another Photoshop fail.

The 42-year-old reality TV star was heavily trolled for her newest selfie, after several users commented on how her middle finger appeared to be missing from the image.

"I just try on @skims swim and pray it doesn't rain forever in LA," the SKIMS founder captioned a mirror pic of herself in a nude bikini from her own SKIMS collection.

Many people took to the comments section to attack the mother-of-four, who they believe had Photoshopped her selfie. However, upon closer inspection, it becomes pretty obvious that Kim's finger was simply hidden by the black pop socket on her phone case.

"I wonder if she realizes we know how badly her photos are photoshopped," one person wrote.

"The amount of editing is absurd. Just post a regular pic. Nobody cares…. You're in your 40s," a further user added, taking aim at Kim's age for no apparent reason.

One particular area of discussion was Kim's hand, with one person commenting: "Wait where's the middle finger?"

Though, many other users weren't having a bar of it - choosing to stick up for the star and point out that, although it looked like the reality star was missing her middle finger, it was simply hidden by her phone's PopSocket (a stick on accessory that makes it easy for somebody to hold their phone with one hand.

One person replied: "she’s got a popsocket on her phone", with a second adding: "it’s behind a pop socket…"

Other commenters were just quick to throw a compliment Kim's way rather than criticism. A further comment read: "Wow! That gym is taking u to another level!!"

"Toned as F [...]," someone else wrote.

While Kim may be one of the most famous people on the planet, it's a wonder why some people don't understand that celebrities aren't immune to hate and negativity. In fact, Ariana Grande demonstrated this earlier in the week when she took to TikTok to address the body shaming she has been receiving.

"I just wanted to address your concerns about my body and talk a little bit about what it means to be a person with a body and to be seen and to be paid such close attention to.

"I think we should be gentler and less comfortable commenting on people's bodies, no matter what. If you think you're saying something good or well-intentioned, whatever it is: healthy, unhealthy, big, small, this, that, sexy, not sexy... we just shouldn't," she said.

She continued: "There are many different kinds of beautiful. There are many different ways to look healthy and beautiful. The body that you've been comparing my current body to was the unhealthiest version of my body. I was on a lot of antidepressants, drinking on them, eating poorly, and at the lowest point of my life when I looked the way you consider, my healthy."

At the end of the day, celebrities are people too. What will it take for society to step back from the body shaming?
