1. 3% — Netflix

If you're interested in class warfare with an element of survival, then look no further than 3%, which is available to stream on Netflix now.

Set in a dystopian future, the majority of the population lives in the poverty-stricken Inland — while a privileged group is chosen to live in what is basically paradise, known as the Offshore. Each year, every 20-year-old in the area is given an opportunity to ascend to the island by undergoing a series of tests. As you can probably tell from the title, only 3% succeed.

"In a future where the elite inhabits an island paradise far from the crowded slums, you get one chance to join the 3% saved from squalor," reads the show's description on Netflix.

3. Re: Mind — Netflix

This Japanese series landed on Netflix a few months ago, and its premise revolves around 11 high schoolers who mysteriously wake up, while restrained to a huge dining room table. Amidst all the confusion, they are gripped by paranoia as they start to disappear one at a time...

As the Netflix description reads, "While fearing for their lives, they question a motive to this bizarre act."

5. Black Mirror — Netflix

Sure, many of us watched Charlie Brooker's dystopian anthology series back when it was on the BBC. But now it's all in one perfectly bingeable place: Netflix.

Starring the likes of Jesse Plemons, Cristin Milioti, and Jimmi Simpson, the sci-fi anthology series explores a near-future where technology and the worst of humankind collide.

8. Alice in Borderland — Netflix

It's no surprise that Alice in Borderland is now one of Netflix's most-streamed shows following Squid Game, as it's pretty similar.

The official Netflix synopsis reads: "Arisu—a listless, jobless and video-game-obsessed young man—suddenly finds himself in a strange, emptied-out version of Tokyo in which he and his friends must compete in dangerous games in order to survive. In this strange world, Arisu meets Usagi, a young woman who’s navigating the games alone. Together, they set out to unravel one mystery after another as they risk their lives and confront what it means to live."
