Now that Game of Thrones is over, it seems as though the characters involved have nowhere left to go. Spoiler alert for those who haven't caught up yet, but now that the wars are finished with and the crown belongs to Bran, it looks like all the many storylines have been tied up ... well, all bar one.

After the war, Arya decided to leave Winterfell and become a seafaring adventurer, sailing westward to see what lands lie there. The idea of Arya going into uncharted territory, and discovering all kinds of strange stuff abroad, sounds pretty awesome, and plenty of fans haven't been shy when it comes to shouting out about how much they want to see Arya on their screens again in a spin-off show set after the end of the main series.

On person who thinks that a spin-off is a good idea is Jamie Lannister's actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. Last night, the Danish performer took to social media, urging fans to sign a petition for another series.

In the video, he states: "So how about that final episode? Most viewers ever - but it's over. It's kind of sad. What a great 10 years. Thank you so much for watching. I'm just grateful. That episode, it was amazing! I really thought it was a great ending.

He continued: "And Arya... I know they're doing all these prequels, but what about the sequel? With Arya? How about - I'm just throwing something out here... How about a petition? An online petition to HBO that they do a sequel with Arya Stark."

It seems as though fans have taken his words to heart, and a petition has already appeared on Change.org, entitled: 'What's West of Westeros? The Adventures of Arya Stark.' It states: "At the end of the final episode of GoT it is clear that her story is not over yet, especially since she says that she’s going to sail west of Westeros, so what better opportunity for a sequel?

"Knowing Arya there will be plenty of adventures and discoveries to show! So, if you’re like me and you think that Arya Stark should get a sequel, I ask you to sign this petition. This way Arya Stark will live on not only in our hearts but on our screens too!"

So far, HBO hasn't responded to the idea. But you never know: if enough people are vocal enough about it, then maybe we really could see Arya Stark back on our screens again someday...
