America's Got Talent contestant Jonathan Goodwin has been hospitalized after a rehearsal for his act took a horrible turn.
As reported by NBC News, Goodwin - an escape artist and stuntman - was rushed to hospital on Thursday after he was injured while rehearsing for the upcoming show, America's Got Talent: Extreme..
According to a 911 call obtained by The Sun, 41-year-old Goodwin allegedly "landed on his head" after some "cars slammed into him".
In the audio, a woman can be heard saying: "We are at the Atlanta Motor Speedway at the America's Got Talent filming location."
She then tells the call operator: "We had a man suspended from a cable with cars that were supposed to slam into each other, and he didn't drop in time and they slammed into him."
"He's about a 40-year-old white male. He fell about 40 feet. He missed the airbag and landed on his head. He's agonal and posturing," the female caller adds.
The caller did add that Goodwin "had a pulse" at the time of the call.
In a statement from the show, per NBC News, a spokesperson for the show said: "During a rehearsal last evening for 'America’s Got Talent: Extreme,' an accident occurred in which escape artist Jonathan Goodwin was injured while performing his act."

Speaking to The Sun, a spokesperson from the Henry County Sheriff's Department in Georgia revealed that Goodwin had suffered "severe injuries to his legs and several lacerations".
The spokesperson added that after being airlifted to Grady Hospital, Goodwin was "alive, alert, and well."
On his Instagram page, Goodwin describes himself as the "world's greatest theatrical stunt performer". After appearing in several UK-based shows such as Dirty Tricks and Deathwish Live, Wales-born Goodwin became a household name across the country after he reached the finals of the 2019 season of Britain's Got Talent.
In 2020, he would gain popularity in the US after appearing on the 2020 season of America's Got Talent - where he would reach the semifinals.
