In total, Anora won five movies over the course of the evening, including Best Picture, Sean Baker for Best Director, Mikey Madison for Best Actress, Editing, and Original Screenplay.
It's worth noting that no movie had a clean sweep this evening - making it a fairly balanced and exciting ceremony.
Here's how the scoreboard looked when the evening came to a close:
- Anora - 5
- The Brutalist - 3
- Wicked - 2
- Emilia Pérez - 2
- Dune: Part Two - 2
The Oscars are the pinnacle of the awards season, as they wrap things up quite neatly and are often seen as the biggest of all of the awards.
Conan O'Brien hosted the night for the first time, and the Dolby Theatre was filled with the A-listers of Hollywood.
While the night is full of many awards that are worthy of their time in the spotlight, it's hard not to hold your breath when it comes to the Best Picture category.
This year was absolutely jam-packed with incredible movies, but there could only be one winner.

Anora seemed to creep out of nowhere this year but quickly became a favorite during the awards season.
It follows a young sex worker who marries the son of a Russian Oligarch, but things soon go awry after his father gets involved.
The Brutalist is a long watch, but it is so rewarding for those who persist with it.
It follows an architect escaping Europe in 1947 to flee to America to start a better life - and the performances from Adrien Brody and Felicity Jones are flawless.

A Complete Unknown is a biopic about Bob Dylan as he arrives in New York City in 1961 with just a guitar and his dreams.
The Oscars love a good biopic movie, and this one definitely checked all the boxes.
Conclave is set against the backdrop of the Vatican, which is attempting to select a new Pope.
A web of conspiracies soon unravels, and the entire Catholic Church is shaken.
Dune: Part Two is a divisive film; you either love it or hate it. Though the people that love it really love it.
The second instalment of the Dune saga is certainly epic, and even though it is lengthy, the sheer scale of the world they've created is enough to keep you entertained.

Emilia Pérez is a movie that has caused controversy this year as those who haven't seen it are questioning it's nomination.
But for those who have, they will know there is a great movie there. It follows three remarkable women in Mexico, each pursuing their own happiness - all with the involvement of the Cartel.
I'm Still Here is perhaps the least known movie of the nominees, but that doesn't mean that it isn't worthy of being there.
The IMDb synopsis quotes: "A mother is forced to reinvent herself when her family's life is shattered by an act of arbitrary violence during the tightening grip of a military dictatorship in Brazil, 1971."
Nickel Boys is perhaps another lesser-known nominee. It's based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Colson Whitehead.
The stunning movie is about two young African-American men navigating the harrowing trials of reform school together in Florida.
The Substance is a horrifying yet captivating watch. It follows a TV fitness personality, played by Demi Moore, who turns to black market drugs in an attempt to refind her youth.

Wicked was... in a word, Wicked. The musical, which is based on a stage show and a book, hit all the right marks.
Everything from the sets to the performances was incredible, and it was many people's movie of the year.
Despite all of the movies being incredible, there could only be one winner, and the recipient of the 2025 Best Picture Oscar was Anora.
The movie won five awards throughout the evening, meaning if you're keeping score, it bagged the most!
