Bad news for any men who refuse to watch the Barbie movie, because according to a lot of women, that makes you a walking red flag.

The Barbie movie took the world by storm in the summer, as it went head to head with Oppenheimer given that both blockbusters were released on the same day.

A lot of people went to see both movies on the same day, which really is an entire day out, but arguably worth it given the high-quality filmmaking.

That being said, some men outwardly refused to watch Barbie given that it shines a light on the patriarchy and it's presumed that those who refused aren't willing to confront that they may be part of a problem.

According to research conducted by Change Research, who conducted a study that involved getting the thoughts of 1,033 participants aged between 18-34 from various backgrounds and political leanings, 53% of the women polled said that a man refusing to watch Barbie is a red flag.

Beyond the Barbie factor, the study also identified other notable turn-offs for women. It found that men who express support for the slogan "All Lives Matter" and those who listen to the Joe Rogan podcast are also major red flags.

A significant 55% of women openly confessed that they are turned off by potential partners who tune into the Joe Rogan Experience.

On the flip side, the sentiment was notably less pronounced among men, with only 35% expressing a similar aversion. This gender gap in response might not come as a complete surprise, considering that 72% of Rogan's fan base is comprised of men, as previously reported by UnHerd.

We should highlight that the demographic surveyed by Change Research closely aligns with Rogan's fan base, primarily consisting of white males between the ages of 18 and 34.

While we're on the subject of Barbie, it was reported that Margot Robbie was paid an eyewatering $50 million for playing the lead role.

In addition to her starring role as the iconic Mattel character, Robbie assumed the role of producer for the film under her production company, LuckyChap Entertainment.

Established in 2014 alongside her husband Tom Ackerley, as well as friends Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr, LuckyChap Entertainment was conceived with a distinct mission in mind - to empower female creators behind the scenes and bring women's narratives to life on the big screen.

LuckyChap Entertainment has already earned acclaim with an Oscar-nominated project, Promising Young Woman, and the blockbuster hit Birds of Prey from the DC Comics universe.

Now, with the unprecedented success of Barbie, it seems certain that the company will continue to be associated with a string of high-profile and influential productions in the foreseeable future.

Men, it's time to admit that Barbie is a good movie and go and see it.
