Colin Farrell looks almost unrecognizable after shaving his head.
The 44-year-old Irish actor gave himself the haircut for his latest role in upcoming Warner Bros. movie The Batman.
He is due to portray Oswald Cobblepot – aka the Penguin, one of the Caped Crusader's oldest and deadliest foes, in the upcoming Matt Reeves-helmed Batman blockbuster.
Take a look at the creepy trailer for The Batman in the video below:The trailer for the film, which has had its production delayed due to Covid-19 restrictions, briefly showed Farrell in-character as the supervillain. In the clip, he can be seen wearing a long leather overcoat and a multitude of prosthetics, with his thinning hair styled into a comb-over.
But it looks like he doesn't just have a new look on camera. A number of images have emerged on social media this week which show Farrell taking a stroll in Los Angeles, and now sporting a completely bald head in real life too.
It's currently unknown whether or not his character will turn completely bald during the film, or if Farrell's head has been shared to accommodate more prosthetics.
Per the fansite Batman News, Farrell recently spoke about his enthusiasm for the project in a recent interview with SFX, stating:
"The whole prospect is really exciting. I’m ecstatic to be part of that universe. There are certain words that are part of my internal lexicon and those words are Gotham City, Penguin, Joker, Batman, Bruce Wayne, Harvey Dent, all of those things.
"I have been watching the Batman films with my kids, but this script is something that feels incredibly original.
"It leans into it but it doesn’t borrow; it’s born of the mythology of that character, Bruce Wayne, Batman, and Gotham. But it feels like a treatment and a version that I hadn’t seen before."

Meanwhile, Farrell's co-star Jeffrey Wright, who portrays Gotham City's James Gordon, recently spoke about Farrell's drastically altered appearance.
During an interview on SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show, he said: "I’ve worked with that makeup artist before and it’s just incredible.
"Colin walked on to set one day and I walked right past him [laughs] I was like: 'OK, hey dude what’s happening, where's Colin? Are we going to shoot?' It was, it’s pretty remarkable."
Per The Metro, the movie also stars Robert Pattison as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/The Riddler, and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth.
