On May the Fourth, Disney has announced that they will be creating a new Star Wars movie and series.
Revealing the news on the official Star Wars Twitter account, they wrote:
"Incoming news from a galaxy far, far away….

Waititi, 44, recently won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for 2019's JoJo Rabbit, and has previously dipped his toes into the Star Wars galaxy when he directed the final chapter of the first season of The Mandalorian. He also provided the voice of the popular droid IG-11.
In addition to this incredible news, Disney also announced that screenwriter Leslye Headland will also be writing and producing a brand new Star Wars series for the Disney+ streaming platform.
