The Battle of Winterfell might have had Game of Thrones fans talking for all the right reasons, but the same can't be said for last night's episode, The Last of the Starks.
To begin with, after learning that Jon Snow is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne, we basically saw him throw away his birthright because his girlfriend wants it more than him.
A fail made so much worse by the fact that Daenerys still insists on calling herself the "rightful" heir to the Iron Throne when she isn't - or, at the very least, she knows fine well that her nephew has a better claim than her.
And then we had to watch the Mother of Dragons basically lead everyone onto what looks like certain destruction by immediately starting a war with Cercei. They deserve a chance to recouperate, woman!
For many fans, this was the most shocking scene in last night's episode:It's no wonder then that people are interpreting Missandei's final word "dracarys" ("dragonfire" in High Valyrian) to signal Dany's fall down the same path that led to her father being dubbed the "Mad King".
Some fans really want to have a stern word with the show's writers:
Others are just plain disappointed:
And then there's those who just hate the storylines:
If you haven't seen it yet, this is the preview trailer for episode five:What do you think? Is the final season a letdown or everything you hoped it would be?
