Breaking Bad fans have been left stunned after they missed a huge easter egg in one of the episodes.

Breaking Bad is often cited as one of, if not the best, television series of all time.

If you haven't watched it, you should probably make time for it because it genuinely is as good as the hype makes it out to be.

The basic premise is that Walter White (Bryan Cranston) gets diagnosed with cancer, and he is struggling to pay his medical bills and support his family on his high school teacher's salary.

Despite receiving an offer from a wealthy former colleague, Walter opts instead to turn to Jesse Pinkman, and the two begin "cooking" meth together, which becomes incredibly lucrative.

What follows is an incredible saga of Walter evading the law and rivals in the business, as well as slowly becoming an incredibly dark character far from his humble beginnings.

One person he has to hide his drug empire from is Hank Schrader, his brother-in-law, who just so happens to be a DEA agent.

But did you know that Hank could have solved the case early on due to a DVD that he had stored on his shelf?

That's right, Hank had a DVD titled "Breaking Bad" sitting on his shelf the entire time, and it can be seen in season five, episode 12, titled Rapid Dog.

Despite the show ending in 2013, I feel bad if I were to spoil it... But I'm sure Breaking Bad fans can all agree that Hank would have been better off had he watched this DVD.

As is the case with most things these days, this information was shared on Reddit and people couldn't quite believe what they were seeing.

"How the f*** do you guys find these stuff.. I'm amazed," one person commented.

A second added: "Damn! I watched that episode not even 2 hours ago and I didn't see that. Nice catch."

A third said: "If only he got around to watching it. Could have figured it all out so much sooner."

A fourth person posed an interesting premise: "I like to think in their universe, Breaking Bad is a whole different show, like about a hardcore drug chemist changing his way after discovering his cancer is gone and he is given a second chance at life, so he settles down and becomes a small town school teacher."

Either way, I think it's time for another Breaking Bad rewatch.
