Harrison Ford has returned as Indiana Jones once again to film the fifth installment of the hit franchise

The actor, 78, was pictured wearing his now-iconic fedora and leather jacket on set in Grosmont, North Yorkshire, per The Sun.

Having first stepped into Jones' shoes in 1981, the actor will be starring in the new movie alongside Fleabag's Phoebe Waller-Bridge, 35.

Casino Royale villain Mads Mikkelsen is also a part of the cast and previously told Collider of the film: "I'm very, very excited about it… I rewatched Raiders of the Lost Ark the other day, it is so well-done and so charming, and it's such great storytelling. So yes it’s a great honour to be part of that franchise that I grew up with…

"I'm in a lucky position where they let me read the script before. And yes, it was everything I wished it to be, so that was just great."

According to BBC, props on the set include tanks and Nazi uniforms.

The filming of the movie has brought much excitement to the area, with one woman taking to social media to share her glee after bumping into Ford's stunt double.

Vicki Laven tweeted: "Look who walked right past us in Grosmont today…Our son asked him if he was Indiana Jones and he tipped his hat and said no, he was just the stunt double."

Resident Delphine Gale said the arrival of the cast and crew has created a "fantastic vibe" after the difficult times caused by the pandemic.

"After the year we've had, to have the excitement of Hollywood coming to the village has really cheered us all up."
