The nominations for the 93rd Academy Awards have just been announce!
According to IndieWire, David Fincher's biopic movie Mank, starring Gary Oldman as Citizen Kane screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz, is currently in the lead, with a total of 10 nominations.
However, Chloé Zhao’s Nomadland is also a bookie's favorite for Best Picture, after winning the same category at the Critics’ Choice Awards and Best Motion Picture Drama at the Golden Globes.
Nomadland also won Best Feature at the Gotham Awards and was nominated for a ceremony-leading seven prizes at the BAFTA Film Awards.

The original date set for the ceremony was February 28. However, the Academy decided to delay the event to Sunday, April 25, in order to accommodate the effect the COVID pandemic has had on 2020's theatrical release calendar.
