Can you believe it has been over 23 years since James Cameron's Titanic first hit movie theaters?

Based on the real-life tragedy of the Titanic sinking in 1912, at the time of its release, the epic romance movie was the most expensive film ever made and became the first flick ever to surpass $1 billion at the box office.

The movie also achieved critical success, scooping 11 of the 14 Academy Awards it was nominated for. And among the nominations was that of Best Actress for the movie's female lead, Kate Winslet, who played 17-year-old Rose Rose DeWitt Bukater.

And despite the movie making Winslet a household name around the globe, there is one scene in Titanic that still haunts her to this very day...

And no, it doesn't involve a floating door that could easily fit three people on it.

No, the scene in question is the part of the movie where Rose strips naked in order to allow Jack to "paint her like one of his French girls".

And it's not even the scene that has left Winslet cringing - it is the nude drawing.

You see, thanks to DVDs, movies, and the internet, that drawing has lived on - and Winslet sees it far more often than she'd like.

In fact, back in 2014, the star was in attendance at the Divergent premiere where a fan handed her a replica of Jack’s racy illustration for her to autograph.

"I don’t sign that [picture]. It feels very uncomfortable. Why would you do that?" Winslet later told Yahoo in an interview. "People ask me to sign that [picture] a lot."

She added: "There’s a photo of it as well that someone has lifted from a still of the film, and that photo gets passed around too.

"I’m like 'No! I didn’t mean for it to be a photograph that I would end up seeing still 17 years later.

It's still haunting me. It’s quite funny really."

And in an interview with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, the 45-year-old mother-of-three revealed she actually managed to get through the intense scene without bursting into laughter.

"Could you keep a straight face when you said, 'Draw me like one of your French girls?'" Colbert asked.

To which Winslet replied: "I think I probably did, but I should’ve laughed."
