Kris Jenner and her youngest daughter Kylie have been dragged by viewers after a recent outing to the grocery store.
The trip was recorded as part of the family's latest reality show, The Kardashians, and showed the mom-and-daughter-duo heading to an upmarket grocery store in Malibu after Kylie told her momager: "I just want to do normal things with you."
Kris then suggested that the two of them go to buy some groceries - admitting she hasn't been to a supermarket for two years.
A visibly excited Kylie then revealed she hasn't been to a store "in forever", and looked visibly excited as the prospect of being able to pick her own food.
Once they arrived at the store, Kylie remarked: "Dreams do come true", as her mom asked if she wanted to "push the basket".
In a confessional segment, Kris admits: "One of the things that gets a little tricky is privacy. I stopped going to the grocery store because the people that were in the grocery store were sneaking pictures, and suddenly paparazzi would show up. It’s hard."
Admittedly, that does sound like a nightmare, and at one moment, a man can be seen attempting to sneak a photo of the Jenners. (That being said, having a TV crew with them probably didn't help them stay incognito.)
Throughout the segment, the pair get excited after spotting Kendall’s 818 tequila on sale at the store, as well as tator tots made from sweet potato.
As their shop comes to an end, Kris says: "I just need the experience of checking out - I've waited for this for years." They then have a playful discussion over who is going to "do the honors" and pay. Although, Kris then struggles to figure out which way her card goes in the machine.
When an employee asks if they will need some help with their groceries - Kris says, "No, we want to push the cart ourselves." Just like regular people.
On their way out of the store, Kylie admits she "loved every minute" of their shopping trip.
After an overdramatic sequence showing Kylie returning the cart, the pair then get excited over the prospect of getting a carwash. Once inside, Kylie compares it to being at "Disneyland".
After watching the scene, however, viewers did not see the fun in it.
"I’m [losing] it at the scene of Kris and Kylie going to the grocery store," one person tweeted. "Like this is the most out of touch thing I’ve ever seen in my life."
A second added: "Kylie and Kris really called the drive thru car wash a tourist attraction [...] rich ppl really do live on another planet #TheKardashians"
A third tweeted: "#TheKardashians thought the 'day of normal errands' with Kris and Kylie would be cute but it's SO GROSS. We know they're out of touch, we don't need to see just how out of touch. Kris didn't know how to use her credit card and was so excited to push the cart. Is she 5."
And a fourth added: "Nothing made me feel more broke than watching Kris and Kylie Jenner go to the grocery store and gas station for FUN bc they don’t ever have to actually do those things themselves."
