Deadpool & Wolverine may have been one of the biggest movies of 2024, but there was one moment that was just too much for the franchise's new owners.
Released back in July, the third installment of the Deadpool movie series saw the 'Merc with a Mouth' finally team up with the X-Men's Wolverine in a highly-anticipated flick that was full of fan service, easter eggs, and plenty of breaking the fourth wall.

One of the recurring themes throughout the movie is the fact that both Deadpool and Wolverine have now joined Marvel's Cinematic Universe (MCU) following Disney's purchase of Fox back in 2019.
Throughout the movie, Deadpool - played by Ryan Reynolds - jokes that Disney is going to make Hugh Jackman continue to play Wolverine "until he's 90", and there are plenty of references to Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige.
With Deadpool & Wolverine being the first R-rated movie of the MCU, it was interesting to see just how far Reynolds and director Shawn Levy were able to push the script.
And although there was plenty of blood and gore, as well as a host of f-bombs and sexual jokes, there was one joke that Disney demanded was cut from the movie.

Back in September, Reynolds told audience members at the Fast Company Innovation Festival in New York that he was initially concerned about seeing "red lines" all over the Deadpool & Wolverine script, but was incredibly happy with the end result, calling Disney and Marvel "great partners" to work with.
But he also mentioned that there was one joke that Disney cut.
Now, thanks to the script being submitted for awards contention, fans finally know what the joke was.
The joke would have been delivered after Deadpool and Wolverine first meet the other surviving heroes in the Void. After being introduced to Elektra, Blade, and Gambit (whose names are coded in the script - most likely for secrecy), it is revealed that there is a fourth.
To which, Deadpool asks if it is Magneto.

After being told that Magneto had been killed, Deadpool would have replied: "F***! What we can’t even afford one more X-Man? Disney is so cheap. I can barely breathe with all this Mickey Mouse c*** in my throat."
...I wonder why Disney wanted it cut?
Of course, fans of the movie will remember that the line Reynolds delivered in the end was: "F**k, now Disney gets cheap? It’s like Pinocchio jammed his face in my a** and started lying like crazy."
Which, I think we can all agree is much funnier anyway.
In fact, TMZ has reported that sources close to Ryan Reynolds report that it was Disney CEO Bob Iger who requested -- rather than demanded -- that the joke be removed from the movie.
