People are horny for the Joker after watching new movie

If you've seen the new Joker movie, you'll probably be of the opinion that Joaquin Phoenix has just gifted the world the greatest ever on-screen performance as the infamous Batman villain. His dedication to the role (he did lose 52 lbs for the role, per The Insider) provided audiences with the darkest, most intriguing, and tortured portrayal of the character yet. (Don't @ me, Heath Ledger is now in second place.)

Speaking to Collider, Phoenix opened up about how he felt working on the new Joker movie: "It feels unique, it is its own world in some ways, and maybe, mostly, it scares the f**king s**t out of me or something."

But the hard work has all paid off, as not only has the movie become the largest grossing film for an October release ever at $281 million worldwide, but critics adored the movie, with IGN's Jim Vejvoda describing Pheonix's performance as "Oscar-worthy", and that the movie "would work just as well as an engrossing character study without any of its DC Comics trappings; that it just so happens to be a brilliant Batman-universe movie is icing on the Batfan cake."

However, Phoenix's performance has also pleased audiences in a very unexpected way, with many moviegoers admitting to being turned on by the sadistic character on Twitter:

That's right, people are THIRSTY for this face-painted freak!

Check out this outtake from the movie that left Phoenix "embarrassed" on Jimmy Kimmel:

And this lust for the iconic Batman villain has spread to online adult websites. Per Men's Health, Alex Hawkins, the vice president of adult movie site xHamster has recently revealed: "People are now fantasizing about the f***ing Joker. Human sexualization is weird sometimes, but the Joker searches have risen over 1,300 percent, which is astounding."

In addition, a statement from Pornhub officials said: "Our statisticians found that in just four days, searches containing 'Joker' reached 741K with a peak of 291K on October 6th. Bang!"

No matter what you thought of Joker and Phoenix's performance, I'll leave you all with this very thought-provoking tweet:
