With the Coronavirus officially declared a global pandemic, many people all over the world are self-isolating and staying at home in a bid to curb the spread of infection.

It's expected that boredom and tedium will begin to set in during this period of self-isolation and social distancing. But it's also a good chance to catch up on some quality TV, and now a new Netflix true crime documentary has got social media users raving.

Take a look at the trailer for the documentary:

The documentary is called: Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, and it explores the life of Joseph Maldonado-Passage, a well-known breeder of big cats, such as lions, tigers, and leopards, who ran a zoo in Oklahoma. His eccentric personality made him a popular figure, but, in a disturbing twist, he later turned to a life of crime.

Maldonado-Passage was sentenced to 22 years in prison for wildlife violations and attempting to hire someone to murder animal rights activist Carole Baskin, who ran a big cat sanctuary in Florida and was a longtime critic of him.

On social media, a number of people have watched the documentary and been disturbed and shocked in equal measure by this incredible story. For instance, one person wrote: "The TIGER KING is about to ROAR on Netflix! I just finished the entire series and It. Is. WILD. Like, insane! A FASCINATING story featuring an INCREDIBLE cast of characters. Scott Stuber HAS to know there's a 2-hour feature comedy in there. [sic]"

Meanwhile, someone else added: "We started watching Tiger King on Netflix and if you are a fan of Wacky Documentaries this is going to be all about you. Because it is, as they say, A LOT. [sic]"
So if you've got nothing better to do during quarantine, why not turn this on and give it a watch? It sounds pretty intriguing to me!
