Actress Sean Young has accused Steven Spielberg of canceling Megan Fox.
During an interview with The Daily Beast, she gave some insight into her relationship with the E.T. director.
She explained that while she has never worked with Spielberg directly, she did audition for the role of Marion Ravenwood in Raiders of the Lost Ark – a role which was ultimately given to actress Karen Allen.
Young claimed that after bumping into Spielberg in a social setting years later, she asked him why she never got the part – and a heated exchange reportedly followed.
"I saw him at a New Year's Eve party that Jerry Belson had up by the Mulholland area, and Steven was there," she revealed.

"I said to him, 'You misled me! I thought I was going to get the part.' And this really offended him. He was all, 'I did not mislead you! I did not!' I was like, 'Whoa, calm down. I didn't mean it like you were a bad guy or anything, I just really thought I was going to get the part. You flew me back to California twice.' Very sensitive."
She continued: "And you have to remember, he did that to Bill Hurt. Steven wanted Bill in Jurassic Park, and Bill didn't want to do it, and that was not what he wanted to hear. Steven has enough power to cancel you. He canceled Megan Fox."
Young's comments come after Michael Bay told GQ magazine that Fox was dropped from the Transformers series at Spielberg's request after she compared Bay to Hitler in a magazine interview.
Discussing Bay's directing style in the interview, Fox said: "He's like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is.

"So he's a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he's not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he's so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all.
"And it's endearing to watch him. He's vulnerable and fragile in real life and then on set he's a tyrant. Shia [Labeouf] and I almost die when we make a Transformers movie. He has you do some really insane things that insurance would never let you do."
However, despite Bay's comments, Spielberg has denied that he was responsible for Fox's departure from the Transformer's franchise.
Rosie Huntingdon, a British model and actress, went on to replace Fox in the subsequent Transformers movies.
