A psychological thriller on Amazon Prime has a near-perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes and is being hailed as the "greatest show ever".

Nowadays we are spoiled for the choice when it comes to series to stream, but with lots of options comes the difficulty of knowing what to pick.

If you're anything like me, you'll load up a streaming service and just stare blankly at it for 30 minutes before putting The Office on for the 100th time.

So when recommendations come along, they are more than welcome, and it seems like this particular thriller has got everyone talking.

Psychological thrillers are an acquired taste, but for those who love them, there are plenty of options.

And no, this isn't about Mindhunter.

It’s no small feat to claim the title of “the greatest show ever,” yet, some fans of Mr. Robot are making just that declaration.

Directed by Sam Esmail, who has recently gained attention for Leave the World Behind, Mr. Robot first captivated audiences in 2015.

The psychological thriller follows Elliot Alderson, a brilliant but troubled cybersecurity engineer who moonlights as a vigilante hacker.

Rami Malek, known for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in 2018’s Bohemian Rhapsody, stars as Alderson, bringing intensity and depth to the role.

Despite its success on Amazon Prime, Mr. Robot remains somewhat under the radar for many viewers.

However, its critical acclaim is undeniable. The series, which spanned four seasons, boasts a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer, along with a 93% audience score.

It's safe to say the fans across the world absolutely love the series.

One fan wrote on X: "Just finished rewatching MR ROBOT cuz this might be the greatest show ever created on this fkin planet cuz I wanna rewatch it over again & again man it’s even better than breaking bad, Sam Esmail and Rami Malek just take a bow. What geniuses [sic]."

Another fan said: "Just finished rewatching the entire series of MR ROBOT - and I still stand by this, it is a masterpiece! Television at its finest!"

While a third simply added: "Mr. Robot is the greatest show of all time."

It seems like Mr Robot has some pretty high acclaim, and will perhaps end up on my list of things to watch.

Especially considering House of the Dragon and The Boys have now concluded for a while... we are in desperate need of entertainment.
