Everyone knew that Steve-O and Johnny Knoxville were going to put themselves at risk while filming Jackass 4, but it was unlikely that anyone anticipated that they would be hospitalized this quickly.
But Bam Margera took to Instagram to reveal that they were hospitalized just two days into filming.
Margera said that the pair were injured as they attempted to jump on a high-speed treadmill while carrying "band equipment" which included one of the largest instruments around: a tuba.
Listen to Magera announce the injuries below:Screen Rant, reports that neither Steve-O or Knoxville have been seriously injured as a result of their antics, and they will return to filming as soon as it is safe to do so.
In the video, posted to Bam Margera's website, he explains: "It's the second day of filming Jackass already and Steve-O and Knoxville were hospitalized by jumping on a full-speed treadmill with band equipment - like a f***ing tuba."
He then added that he too is waiting to be seen at the hospital: "So yeah, I'm here are the clinic now, taking a p*** test. Rock'n'roll, oh yeah - I've got the scars too. Yeah, man."
The fourth installment in the Jackass series is due to be released in July 2021 after its initial release date of March 2021 was postponed as a result of the ongoing pandemic.
Jackass premiered for the first time on MTV two decades ago this year, and while there is no official commemoration set, Steve-O said that there is an urge to commemorate the anniversary in some way, Digital Spy reports.
Steve-O said: "We're approaching the 20th anniversary of when Jackass first appeared on MTV, and I do know that there's an urge, an idea to commemorate that anniversary in some way."
He added: "It has been greenlit by Paramount Pictures, yeah. They say March of 2021 [now July 2021, obviously] but they haven't given me an offer that I can really take seriously yet
"Not to be rude or anything, but... I don't have a contract yet. So we'll see.
"I'm rooting for all the bros. It's just a weird situation. But I love all my Jackass buddies, and I just gotta do it differently this time. They gotta fix it."
