Ah yes, A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton. We all know and love this classic 2000s song. And most of us hear it and immediately think of Terry Crews in White Chicks belting out the lyrics in a sleek black convertible. Every time I hear the iconic song, I'm taken back to the terribly funny 2004 comedy/crime movie.

And every time Vanessa's sweet piano chords grace my ears, I wonder why, in the past long, dragging 15 years, a sequel hasn't come out. Well, stop holding your breath for a second movie. It's officially coming. Terry Crews himself announced last weekend that White Chicks 2 is in the works.

In one of Terry Crews' first memorable on-screen roles, he acts alongside brothers Marlon and Shawn Wayans. The twins play FBI agents who disguise themselves as famous heiresses in an attempt to foil a plot to kidnap the two sisters.

Terry Crews went on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live over the weekend to discuss his conversations with his co-workers:

"I actually got with Shawn and he was like ‘Man we doing it, we’re getting it going’, 15 years ago as of this month! I’m staying in shape just for this movie."

On Monday, when he appeared on The Talk and was asked what song he'd belt this time around, he answered:

"I think the modern day of [‘A Thousand Miles’] would be Carly Rae Jepsen ‘Call Me Maybe’. I don’t know the lyrics, but I would definitely do the whitest white girl song you would ever see. But white girls are singing gangster right now, you know what I mean? So, it might be a little different, it might have a little rap thing in there. However we would do it, it’d be great."

The Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor has been open about discussing the possibility of a sequel in past interviews. We'll just have to wait and see how long it takes them to turn this around. I've waited 15 years too long, and I'm not getting any younger.
