Fox has released a brand new teaser trailer for this summer's highly anticipated reboot of Beverly Hills, 90210. The new series will explore the continued drama surrounding the not-so-adolescent stars almost 30 years after the beloved 90s teen series first aired.

Take a look at the new trailer for the upcoming reboot:

The trailer shows the actors (as opposed to the characters) going about their daily morning routines, while the show's famous theme song plays via various everyday devices, such as a hairdryer, a toaster, and a car horn.

Fortunately for those who are planning to watch the show for nostalgic reasons, the six episodes will follow most of the original cast including Tori Spelling, Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty, Brian Austin Green, Ian Ziering, and Gabrielle Carteris.

However, the actors will not be reprising their original roles, but will instead be appearing as themselves as they play out a situation in which they discuss the idea of a potential Beverly Hills 90210 reboot.

According to Fox, the stars are set to play "heightened versions of themselves in a brand-new serialized drama - with a healthy dose of irreverence - that is inspired by their real lives and relationships."

“What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast – whom the whole world watched grow up together – attempts to continue from where they left off?”

This isn't our first peek into the reboot. Just last week, in fact, the cast gathered together for their first table read of the pilot script.

Take a look at the fun little reunion here:

Of course, there will be a noticeable absence in the upcoming reboot - Dylan McKay will not be appearing in the episodes due to the tragic death of Luke Perry who played the character from 1990.

Perry's presence will definitely be missed by ardent fans of the show, but hopefully, producers will find a way to honour the late actor.

The six-episode revival will start airing on August 7.
