Viewers of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? have taken to social media to blast an "easy" million-pound question that aired on this week's episode on ITV.

Audiences were captivated as contestant Davyth Fear, from Caernarfon, Wales, made it to the final question - meaning he was just one correct answer away from winning £1 million ($1,264,150 USD).

You can watch the moment Fear walks away from the question below:

To make the action even more intense, Fear was going into the question with one remaining lifeline: his phone a friend.

To question was: "Which of these people was born the same year as Queen Elizabeth II?"

The four possible answers were: Audrey Hepburn, Judy Garland, Julie Andrews, and Marilyn Monroe.

After some deliberating, Davyth told host Jeremy Clarkson that he believed the answer was Hepburn, but his phone a friend believed the correct answer was Judy Garland.

I won't lie, I did not know who was right.

But it seems a lot of "couch contestants" were very confident of the correct answer, and took their social media accounts to make sure the rest of the world also knew about it.

"When you get a million pound question right before the answers are revealed" bragged one Twitter user.

While a second chimed in: "Not often I would volunteer to be #phoneafriend but I knew the answer tonight!"

A third added: "Even after all these years #whowantstobeamillionaire is still cracking telly. I knew the answer to that £1million question, but wouldn't have had the balls to gamble".

Rather than risk getting it wrong and leaving with £32,000, Fear decided to walk away with a life-changing £500,000. Not bad for a day's work.

Oh, and the correct answer was Marylin Monroe - a name I'm sure Davyth doesn't want to hear for the rest of his life.
