Since the debut of Netflix's popular psychological thriller, You, back in December 2018, fans have been enthralled by the chilling crimes of the troubled and incredibly complex Joe Goldberg.
Luckily, fans didn't have to wait too long for the second season, which was released exactly a year after the first.
However, this year, for obvious reasons, we won't be so lucky. The upcoming season won't be released this December... but there is some good news.
Yep, your Joe Goldberg binging sessions aren't over yet! In fact, according to recent news, the third season will begin filming not too far from now - in November.

According to a Patreon post from Twitter scooper Daniel Richtman, the series is set to start filming in November.
He explained that the show's execs are planning to film "until late April 2021" and will be following strict guidance on COVID-19. If all goes to plan and the pandemic doesn't halt filming, the season should be released before the end of 2021.

In any case, You's executive producer Sera Gamble has givens a little insight into the upcoming season.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, she said: "The stakes are pretty high. "I have so many questions about Love’s mother who’s incredibly in the picture at the end of the season, like how much she really knows about her children. We wrote [the finale] hoping that we will get the opportunity to tell more stories because we’re really excited with the seeds planted at the end of season two."
Furthermore, this past July, You writer Caroline Kepnes gave fans a teeny tiny taster of what to expect next season.

Indeed, when a fan tweeted the writer asking for an update on the next installment, Kepnes gladly obliged, writing:
"Hello! You3 is done and I know I keep saying “soonish” but it’s truly so done that I saw possible covers last week. Your patience in a pandemic means the world to me. Thank you for waiting! Soonish he’s yours. Also spoiler alert. In You3 Joe b*tches about the word 'soonish' [sic]."
2020 hasn't exactly been kind to us where good television's concerned, so here's to 2021...
