Still only 32 years old, Zac Efron is already something of a Hollywood veteran, such is his prevalence and longevity on the silver screen.
Of course, to some Efron will always be best known as the all-dancing, all-singing teen heartthrob Troy Bolton from the smash hit High School Musical series. Yet since then, he has gone on to star in a wide array of box office hits, films such as 17 Again, Neighbors, Baywatch, The Greatest Showman and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
And now, Efron is adding yet another string to his bow, after the announcement came that he would be releasing his own travel docuseries on Netflix, Down to Earth with Zac Efron.
You can watch the trailer for the brand new Zac Efron travel doc right here:
A Netflix synopsis of the show reads: "Actor Zac Efron journeys around the world with wellness expert Darin Olien in a travel show that explores healthy, sustainable ways to live."
"We need to start rethinking how we consume everything, from our food to our power," Efron says via voiceover in the trailer. "Change has to start somewhere. Maybe it's time we all change."
The series sees the actor travel to France, Puerto Rico, Iceland, London, Costa Rica, Lima, Sardinia and Iquitos. He also eats insects and 'dung-smoked' delicacies.
Earlier this year, Efron posted a message on Earth Day, extolling the virtues of adventure and looking after our planet. He wrote;
"Happy Earth Day! I have always been in awe of the magic and mystery of Mother Nature. Exploring the unknown has always been a true passion in my life and now, more than ever, I realize how important it is to take care of our planet, our people and every living thing we share it with. Please be safe, be healthy and be kind to one another."
Down to Earth with Zac Efron will air on Netflix from Friday, July 10.
