The day is finally here. We are getting a sequel to the 2006 hit Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.

Set to be released on Amazon Prime on October 23, the movie's release was timed to coincide with the 2020 US election.

Baron Cohen announced the release of the sequel with a truly phenomenal poster of himself wearing a facemask manikini (a maskini) with the caption: "Wear Mask. Save Live."

The trailer takes a look at where Borat is at 14 years on from the first movie, which "brought shame to Kazakhstan". As he is kicked out of the country, he is booed before embarking on a "secret mission" in the US.

When he gets there, everyone knows who he is and is swinging around his now-famous suit to photograph and mock him.

Borat goes on to question whether Harry Potter is a sex criminal and attempts to get a pastor's help aborting "his daughter's baby" (which is also his). The pastor asks him: "Did you ever put one in your daughter?"

He then stays with two Republican men and asks them: "What is more dangerous, this virus or the Democrats?" They reply: "The Democrats."

Little else is known about the plot of Borat 2, but from what is known per IndieWire, it appears that Borat dons a number of disguises in a bid to gift his daughter (Maria Bakalova) to Vice President Mike Pence, and mocks President Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, all while the film takes place during the current pandemic.

Now, on the off chance that your memory needs refreshing, the original Borat was a box-office hit, making a colossal $260 million worldwide from an $18 million budget, per Box Office Mojo.

It also earned Baron Cohen the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical, and an Oscar nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.

Borat 2 was written by Baron Cohen, Anthony Hines, Dan Swimer, Peter Baynham, Erica Rivinoja, Dan Mazer, Jena Friedman, and Lee Kern.

The sequel was filmed almost entirely in secret, with its lead actor having to wear a bulletproof vest and risk his life for the sake of comedy on multiple occasions.

Borat 2 will be available to watch on Amazon Prime on October 23, and we can't wait!
