Candace Cameron Bure has revealed her heartbreaking final text message exchange with the late Bob Saget.

Last month, beloved TV star Saget died tragically at the age of 65.

The Full House actor's body was discovered in his Orlando hotel room on January 9 - just a day after he had performed a standup comedy show nearby.

Saget's unexpected death has sent shockwaves through his wide circle of family and friends. Now his former co-star has spoken out about one of her final exchanges with the comedian.

Watch Candace Cameron Bure open up about her final text exchange with Bob Saget:

In an interview with Today's Hoda Kotb, Bure - who played Saget's on-screen daughter in the hit sitcom - described how the two had fallen out two weeks before his death.

"I’m so scared that I’m going to pull up his text and then accidentally delete it one day. It scares me so much because I don’t ever want to lose this," she said.

Recalling their conversation, she added: "We were gonna have dinner and we got into a little tiff and his flight was delayed. We ended up not having dinner."

Despite the disagreement, there was no bad blood between Bure and Saget, who swiftly made up.

"In Bob fashion, the next day he wrote me what would be pages long of a text. He was apologizing, saying he was cranky and he was just so sorry," said Bure, before reading some excerpts from Saget's message.

"'Oh, now I feel even worse. I was so wrong. You’re like my favorite person on the earth and I acted like Dolly [Saget’s mother]. I was getting ready to take a late flight and I was annoyed,'" Saget wrote.

He went on to say: "'I love you more for the trouble you’re giving me if that’s even possible.'"

Bure read out her response: "'I love you. I could never be mad at you. Roll my eyes at you, yes, but never mad. And I love you for being Dolly. That made me laugh out loud.'"

Elsewhere in the interview, Bure recalled happy memories from her 35-year friendship with Saget including the day they first met.

"We were doing our pilot episode for Full House," she recalled, saying: "Bob is so tall, you know, he’s 6-foot-4 and I was 10 years old. He kneeled down to me and got eye to eye with me and said, 'Hi I’m Bob, I’m going to be your dad. I’m playing your dad so I want you to be comfortable. And we’re going to be friends.'"

"He was just so warm and inviting and it really kicked off an incredible 35-year friendship," she added.

The actress went on to talk about her grief, saying: "I can’t believe he’s gone forever, I just can’t."

"To think that he’s not here and we’re not gonna have another joke or another hug or just another bit of ridiculousness in life, it’s almost unbearable for me to think about," said Bure tearfully.
