Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid have shown that they are style chameleons as they debuted bold new looks at a fashion show in New York.

The supermodel sisters stormed the runway for the Marc Jacobs' Fall 2022 show inside the New York Public Library. For the event, the models underwent a dramatic transformation - both showing off partly "shaved" heads and bleached eyebrows.

Bella, 25, completed her edgy look with an oversized black floor-length gown featuring long white gloves that hit her upper arms and had dramatic sleeves.

While the 27-year-old mother-of-one sported a similar hairstyle and matched her rocker-chic glam with oversized pink knitwear over her shoulders. The look was then completed with white platform boots.

Though the sisters' looks most likely stunned attendees at the show, Bella revealed in a time-lapse video posted on her Instagram that the eye-catching style was achieved with the help of wigs and prosthetics.

Makeup artist Noël Jacoboni, who worked as the key SFX makeup artist for the show, shared a look at the transformation process on Instagram, where she posted photos of the sisters walking in the show.

"Today was the perfect marriage of my ability to do a bald cap as well as work for one of my favorite designers with some of the top models in the industry," the makeup artist wrote in the caption, adding that the entire occasion was "surreal".

Over on Instagram, the response to Bella's latest look was... mixed, shall we say:

And the same went for Gigi, who also left fans in the comments section unsure what to think:

Following the show, Marc Jacobs revealed that the theme of the exhibition was "choice," with the designer sharing a statement on Instagram.

He wrote: "Choice. Amidst an ever-changing landscape of resources, unexpected obstacles, and a world feverishly digitizing new standards of reality, my sentiment is unwavering - creativity is essential to living."

"We share our choices in contrast to the ongoing brutality and ugliness of a world beyond our insulated but not impermeable walls," he continued.

The fashion designer then ended his statement with a quote from German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, which read: "We have art in order not to die of the truth."

While Bella and Gigi’s hairstyles were not permanent, this was not the first time the models have displayed a style transformation for the runway.

For Versace's 2021 fashion show, Gigi rocked a long red hairstyle and she appeared on the runway of Ralph Lauren's Autumn/Winter 2022 show with platinum blonde hair.

The model once revealed to Harper Bazaar in July 2021 that it is not her "job to have an opinion" on what she is modeling when asked about how she feels about the change in styles.

"It’s not my job to have an opinion on what I’m wearing," she said. "It’s my job to wear what I wear and have enough of a photographic mind to understand how to make that piece look good, sellable, and give the feeling that is wanted by the creative team."
