Gigi Hadid has denounced Kanye West as a "bully" and a "joke" after he attacked a fashion journalist on his Instagram.

Following the 45-year-old rapper's Yeezy runway show at Paris Fashion Week on October 3, fashion editor and stylist Gabriella Karefa-Johnson - who was in attendance - shared her thoughts on the presentation on her social media.

In her Instagram stories, Karefa-Johnson posted screenshots of messages she'd shared with friends that included her concerns with the 'Flashing Lights' rapper using White Lives Matter clothing at the show.

In response, West posted two now-deleted photos of Karefa-Johnson and ridiculed her appearance, saying that she was "not a fashion person," which prompted the 27-year-old model to quickly come to the journalist's defense and fire at West.

Hadid, who has worked with the stylist on her March 2021 Vogue cover, wrote in a now-deleted comment: "You wish u had a percentage of her intellect. You have no idea haha…. If there's actually a point to any of your s*** she might be the only person that could save u."

"As if the 'honor' of being invited to your show should keep someone from giving their opinion ..? Lol. You're a bully and a joke," she added after seeing West's tirade of posts.

Furthermore, the supermodel elaborated on her thoughts on her Instagram Story and wrote that Karefa-Johnson is "one of the most important voices" in the fashion industry and could "school that disgraceful man."

She also screenshotted a post from Vogue writer José Criales-Unzueta's story that read: "I was trying very hard not to give that man air time, but publicly bullying someone who criticizes your work on your massive platform is another level of ridiculousness to me."

"If you can’t take it don’t dish it. If you can’t take criticism, specially the smart, nuanced, and kind criticism that GKJ provided yesterday’s show, then don’t put work out for public consumption. This is immature bully behavior," the post concluded.

Vogue defended the editor by issuing a statement on Instagram saying that they "stand" with her. They also accused West of "bullying" her and revealed that the two have spoken about the situation.

"Vogue stands with Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, our global fashion editor at large and longtime contributor. She was personally targeted and bullied," they wrote.

"It is unacceptable. Now more than ever, voices like hers are needed and in a private meeting with Ye today she once again spoke her truth in a way she felt best, on her terms," they added.

The statement also came after the 'Gold Digger' rapper wrote in a post that he and the critic had a conversation on Tuesday (October 4) evening and attended a dinner with other stars together.

In addition to this, West has received widespread backlash for his runway show, which featured Black models wearing the White Lives Matter T-shirts.

The slogan has been categorized by the Anti-Defamation League as hate speech that emerged as a racist response to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Right-wing commentator Candace Owens posted a picture of her and the 'Praise God' rapper wearing the shirts on her social media platform.

Some celebrities who were in attendance at the show, such as Jaden Smith, reportedly walked out. He also said in a now-deleted tweet that he "can’t stand behind what Kanye’s saying" and that West "does not have the full support of the youth".
