Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have unveiled the new trailer for part two of their Netflix documentary, in which Harry appears to drop a bombshell claim about the palace and his brother William, Prince of Wales.
Having reached viewers' screens last week, the new docuseries has been split into six parts, with the first three based on Harry and Meghan's early romance and the media frenzy that followed them in the lead-up to their 2018 nuptials.
Meghan, 41, spoke at length about the British press, and how she felt targeted due to her race - something she states that she never experienced growing up in Los Angeles.
Harry discussed how the press impacted the life of his late mother, Princess Diana, and the similarities the 38-year-old sees between her and Meghan.
The couple both addressed the controversy surrounding Meghan's father's obvious absence at their wedding, revealing screenshots of the text conversations between the soon-to-be-married pair and the now-78-year-old.
The following three episodes - slated for release on December 15 - have already stirred up gossip after the trailer was revealed this week.
In it, Harry alludes to the palace's apparent double standard in handling the press for Prince William, 40, compared to that of him and Meghan, It is expected that the remainder of the docuseries will offer viewers a more intimate glimpse into the reason the couple chose to step back from their duties as senior royals.
In the trailer, which was published on YouTube this week, Harry and Meghan appear to shine a spotlight on their security fears as newlyweds and new parents - with Meghan commenting on one of the reasons the couple decided to leave the United Kingdom, saying: "Our security was getting pulled. Everyone in the world knew where we were."
Harry then suggests that the couple experienced "institutional gaslighting", claiming palace officials were "happy to lie to protect my brother. They were never willing to tell the truth to protect us."
"I wasn't being thrown to the wolves, I was being fed to the wolves," Meghan then chimed in.
"I wonder what would've happened to us had we not got out when we did," Harry says in the trailer, before adding: "In order for us to be able to move to the next chapter, you gotta finish the first chapter. I've always felt as though this was a fight worth fighting for."
So far, reactions to the trailer have been mixed, with many people choosing to accuse the couple of being hypocritical.
"I love the part where they say they are drawing a line under Megxit after an interview with Oprah, a podcast, a Netflix series and a book. Brings a tear to my left eye," someone wrote, referring to the interviews and new business ventures the couple have entered into following their shock exit from the Royal Family.
"I love the part where they finally broke free from the pressure of cameras and the media, and then compulsively started to film their intimate moments to later sell to the media. So brave. So authentic," another user added.
"The amount of comments I've seen along the lines of '[Meghan] needs to be more like Kate, look at her she had this abuse and never complained!' NO! It's not ok that it happened to her either. Harry was just brave enough to say Enough! The Paparazzi is the problem, always has been," someone else commented in support of the couple.
"What's worse, a joke or credible death threats from people radicalized by tabloids? They're extremely brave to challenge an institution which is the epitome of class and racial supremacy and the bought, reverential press which maintains royal status. Harry and Meghan are solid," another person chimed in.
Part two of Harry and Meghan's docuseries will be released on December 15 on Netflix.
