It has been reported that former Harry Potter actor, Paul Grant, has died suddenly after collapsing outside King's Cross Station in London.

On Thursday (March 16), the actor, who has also had roles in other notable movies such as Return of the Jedi (1983) and Pumping Iron (1977), was found by local police and was rushed to hospital for treatment.

Unfortunately, he was declared brain dead and placed on life support.

According to the Independent, his family announced that they had made the decision to switch off the machine on Sunday (March 19).

He was 56 at the time of his death.

In an emotional statement to The Sun, Grant's daughter, Sophie Jayne Grant, described her father as a "legend."

"My dad was a legend in so many ways," she told the outlet. "He always brought a smile and laughter to everyone’s face. He would do anything for anyone and was a massive Arsenal fan."

"He was an actor, father and grandad." she continued. "He loved his daughters and son and his girlfriend Maria very much, as well as her kids who were like stepchildren to him."

"My dad I love you so much sleep tight," she concluded.

Grant's partner, 64-year-old Maria Dwyer, also added: "Paul was the love of my life. The funniest man I know. He made my life complete. Life is never going to be the same without him."

Tributes have also been pouring in online, with many sending condolences to the actor's loved ones.

"Rest in peace Paul Grant, for you will always be Hoggle and goblin corp to me. Thank you for making one of my favorite movies of all time, thanks for being in my childhood," tweeted one user.

"We send our condolences to the family and friends of Paul Grant who portrayed an ewok in Return of the Jedi. RIP," added another fan.

His family has now set up a GoFundMe page in order to "give him the best send off he would want."

The actor, who referred to himself as the "King of the Dwarfs", played one of the unnamed Ewoks in the 1983 Star Wars film Return of the Jedi where he starred alongside the likes of Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill.

As per his official IMDb page, the 56-year-old also worked on other notable projects such as Legend (1985), Labyrinth (1986), and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (2001).

Grant's cause of death is still yet to be confirmed.

Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time.
