Robert Cormier - a star of the beloved family drama series Heartland - has died at the age of 33.
The actor played Finn Cotter on the long-running CBS show. According to his obituary, he passed away on Friday (September 23).
Though a cause of death was not provided in the obituary, Cormier's sister allegedly revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that he had died due to injuries sustained in a fall.
In his obituary, the Toronto-born star is remembered as "an athlete, an actor, and a great brother."
"He had a passion for helping others and was always looking to achieve more. He enjoyed movie nights with his family, and looked up greatly to his father," the obituary reads, adding: "He impacted many people throughout his life whether it was family, teammates and friends."
"Rob's memory will live on through his passion for art and film; as well as his three sisters who meant the world to him," the short tributes concludes.
Aswell as his role in Heartland, Cormier was known for appearing as Kit Jenning on the Netflix show Sasher. He also had roles on Designated Survivor, Ransom, and American Gods.
The young actor's breakthrough came when he was cast in the 15th season of Heartland as new love interest Finn Cotter. He is expected to appear in the 16th season of the show, which will premier later this week on October 2.
Upon the news of Cormier's tragic death, Heartland's official Instagram account paid tribute to him in a post.
"We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Robert Cormier. He was a beloved member of the Heartland cast the last two seasons," the show wrote.
It went on to ask that those close to Cormier were given privacy at this time: "On behalf of the Heartland cast and crew, our thoughts are with him and his family, who have asked for privacy during this difficult time."
Meanwhile, UPtv - the channel which airs Heartland - also paid their respects to the actor in an Instagram post, sharing a snap of him on the show.
"Robert Cormier, aka Heartland's Finn, was an amazing talent, gone too soon," the network wrote, adding: "We are deeply saddened to learn of his passing. Our sincere condolences go out to his friends, family, and co-workers."
Per his obituary, Cormier leaves behind his parents and his three sisters Brittany, Krystal, and Stephanie.
