Home Alone actor Devin Ratray was hospitalized in 'critical condition' according to reports.

The actor, 47, who is best known for playing Buzz McCallister in Home Alone alongside Macaulay Culkin as his brother Kevin McCallister, had been due to face trial on suspicion of domestic assault.

The court proceedings have been pushed back in the wake of his health issues, with TMZ reporting that he has since been released from hospital in New York and is continuing his recovery at home.

Jury selection for his trial had been due to start on Monday in Oklahoma but the pretrial has now been reset to next month as he was admitted to hospital out of state.

According to Ratray's defense attorney Scott Adams, the actor was hospitalized for heart issues and received treatment in an intensive care unit.

Ratray has been accused of strangling his former partner on a bed in their hotel room in December 2021, as well as allegedly punching her in the face after she bit his hand in an attempt to get away from him.

According to reports from The Blast, Ratray was accused of punching his then-girlfriend in the face as well as placing a hand over her mouth during an argument.

The outlet stated that the woman said in a police report that she bit Ratray's hand to get it off her mouth, and was able to "escape" by hiding in a stairwell.

According to a court affidavit, an Oklahoma City police detective reported that "while [Ratray was] strangling the victim, [he] stated the following: 'This is how you die.'"

Ratray has denied that he strangled or hit the woman.

According to reports, the then-couple had been in Oklahoma City for an event at the time of the alleged incident in 2021, with the woman claiming that Ratray hadn't wanted to attend but agreed to take part as he needed the money.

She testified in court, according to a transcript: "Devin ... doesn't want to be known for something he did 30 years ago. It was (a) point of contention for him his whole life and it's something that I dealt with a lot when we were dating and that's why he'd never done these cons before because he didn't want to promote that he was in 'Home Alone.' He was annoyed to be there and be seen as 'Buzz' anyway."

An affidavit states that Ratray had reportedly been drinking heavily on the day of the alleged assault and had consumed a bottle of wine and several shots of alcohol at Mickey Mantle's Steakhouse, before allegedly having a further 10 shots of alcohol at the Coyote Ugly saloon.

He allegedly became angry after his then-girlfriend gave out his autograph for free to two women at the bar, and they began arguing, which continued when they returned to their hotel room, where the woman claims Ratray attacked her.

Following the alleged incident, the pair decided to sleep in separate rooms for the night, and the woman filed a police report the following day.
