Pamela Anderson hit the headlines this week after she ditched the make-up and embraced her natural beauty at Paris Fashion Week.

The former Baywatch star, 56, has been a vocal advocate for natural beauty, sharing her journey and encouraging women to embrace their authentic selves, and took to the audience at the Isabel Marant Womenswear Spring/Summer 2024 show bare-faced.

The actress wore a yellow, ankle-length dress for the occasion, but had fans abuzz with her decision to go make-up free for the event.

Jamie Lee Curtis, 64, took to social media to share her own thoughts on Pamela's decision, lauding the star for her "act of courage and rebellion" in an industry that puts such high pressures on women to conform to certain beauty standards.

Sharing photos of Pamela at the event, the Scream star told her followers: "THE NATURAL BEAUTY REVOLUTION HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN!

"[Pamela Anderson] in the middle of fashion week with so many pressures and postures, and and and, this woman showed up and claimed her seat at the table with nothing on her face.

"I am so impressed and floored by this act of courage and rebellion."

Jamie wasn't the only star who spoke out in support of Pamela, as Chelsea Handler commented: "That's pretty iconic", while Selma Blair added: "Love this. Beautiful self assuredness."

Michelle Visage commented: "And she was GLOWING", while Alyssa Milano wrote: "So gorgeous."

Pamela continued her makeup-free journey at fashion week as she also attended the Victoria Beckham and Vivienne Westwood shows rocking the same au natural look.

While the comments were overwhelmingly positive and supportive, many fans also pointed out that a woman opting not to wear make-up shouldn't be seen as something so rogue in this day and age.

They commented: "The point is that we as women are constantly told by social media and marketing and the beauty industry, that we are not worthy, or beautiful unless we have pounds of make up on, no wrinkles and no grey hair or signs of aging. What we applaud is that she showed that a woman is beautiful just being! Just showing their true selves. Love this and teach this."

Others added: "It's a testament to how f'ed up we are as a society that women in public sans makeup is viewed as a sign of courage and rebellion. I hope future generations are able to do a hard reset on priorities," and: "it’s sad that it is being referred to as an act of courage to be natural."

Another wrote: "Women are reclaiming ourselves…our faces, our bodies, our natural beauty underneath the weight of society’s unrelenting expectations."

As well as embracing her natural look, Pamela recently revealed she was selling off her iconic clothing collection in order to "make room" for her "new life".

She told People: "I don’t like to waste. Better to clear my mind, clear my closet. Make room for this new life. I can’t wait to see others enjoy these pieces."

Pamela added that her style has "undoubtedly changed over the years," and she is hoping her old clothing brings joy to others, explaining: "There’s no reason to hang on to it. These memories are made to share."
