Jane Fonda has proven that she's definitely still hip, after gifting Drew Barrymore a sex toy during a recent interview.
The 85-year-old actress and former model had been appearing on Barrymore's popular daytime talk show, The Drew Barrymore Show, alongside fellow actress Lily Tomlin, 83, to discuss their latest movie Moving On.
Set for release this month, the lighthearted comedy centers on two estranged women who want to seek violent revenge against the husband of their recently deceased friend, slowly bonding and making peace with each other along the way.
Both Tomlin and Fonda have regularly collaborated over the years - having starred together in 9 to 5 (with Dolly Parton), and the Netflix series Grace and Frankie.
As has become a staple of Barrymore's show, she likes to ask her guests a question that always involves the phrase: "Is it true?"
In this instance, the Charlie's Angels actress asked Fonda: "Jane, you relax with, like, baths and meditations. Is it true that there also might be an adult toy involved?"
The audience gasped as the exercise video queen looked slightly taken aback before Tomlin replied: "Well, there is." Fonda then laughs as the audience woos and cheers, adding: "There's my bed, there's my dresser, and in the top dresser drawer you would freak out if you saw what's in there."
Barrymore then falls to her knees at Fonda's feet, asking: "What is in there? I need some help, Jane, can you help me?"
The Monster-in-Law actress responds: "Oh, I will. Just wait until we step outside of this room," before Barrymore points to a small box on Fonda's right and asks what was in there.
"Take your hands off that," Fonda declares, forcing Barrymore to retreat to her seat.
"Especially for you," the Barbarella actress then says, "I have a special adult toy."
Barrymore then grabs the box and takes out a small blue vibrator from inside, as the audience claps and cheers loudly.
Fonda has been rather open about her sex life, maintaining that sex apparently does get better with age. In fact, she spoke about this last year during a SiriusXM interview with TV personality Andy Cohen.
"You know, we waste way too much time not wanting to say, 'Wait a minute, hold, hold it, hold it. No, no, no. Slow down. And a little to the left.' You know, we don't, we don't wanna do that," she said, referring to how many women feel about sex. "But when we get older, it's like, 'No, I know what I want. Give me what I want.'"
She then added that, while she would be keeping her sex life "private" she was enjoying going "solo."
Well, there you have it folks! You heard it here first!
