Jennifer Aniston has delighted fans all across the globe with a sneak peek at the highly-anticipated Friends Reunion.
The actress, who found fame starring as Rachel Green on the hit sitcom, treated fans to a brief teaser of what's to come and even revealed the release date for the HBO special.
Confirming the reunion special will air on May 27, on HBO Max, Aniston left Friends fans excited with her teaser post.
In the viral clip, characters Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler, and Ross can be seen walking together down a street with a piano version of the famous theme tune playing in the background.
The clip ended by saying: "The One Where They All Get Back Together," and announced its streaming date.
Alongside the post on Instagram, Jennifer Aniston, who plays Rachel Green wrote: "It's official! The #FriendsReunion premieres May 27th on @HBOMax — could we BE any more excited?!"
According to Variety, the stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt Le Blanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer, will receive at least $2,5 million each for their part in the episode.
The reunion episode will see the stars revisit the set, share behind-the-scenes footage, and feature a few surprises for viewers.
HBO said in a statement: "Lastly, in order to avoid any misunderstanding about what this special is, we want to make it very clear that this is not a new, original episode of the series. The cast will be appearing as themselves, not as their beloved characters."
David - who played Ross in the sitcom - confirmed on The Graham Norton Show earlier this year that the reunion will not be scripted. He said: "There's nothing scripted. We're not in character, we're all ourselves – the real people."
However, he hinted that he and his co-stars may briefly revive their characters for one segment of the show. "There is one section of it that I don't want to give it away, but we all read something," he teased.
The reunion was first confirmed back in April, when the show's official social media account shared an image of a screen that said "Friends The Reunion".
The caption read: "That’s a wrap! Could we BE anymore excited!? Friends: The Reunion is coming to @hbomax."
Guest stars David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Elliott Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Reese Witherspoon and Malala Yousafzai will also be making an appearance.
