Johnny Depp has surprised fans by celebrating the end of his trial against Amber Heard on stage.

The 58-year-old actor jetted to the UK to perform a rendition of John Lennon's 'Isolation' alongside his friend Jeff Beck in Sheffield.

He stayed on stage for a couple more numbers, rocking out to Marvin Gaye's 'What's Going On' and Jimi Hendrix's 'Little Wing' before retreating backstage.

It's safe to say fans weren't expecting to see the Pirates of the Caribbean star performing so soon after the high-profile defamation case against his ex-wife, Heard, wrapped up on Friday.

Depp is suing Heard for $50 million over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she claimed to be a survivor of domestic abuse. The Edward Scissorhands star claims that he was the real victim of his volatile marriage to Heard and that the article wrecked his reputation and his career.

Heard, meanwhile, has doubled down on her allegations and countersued for $100 million, citing several occasions during her relationship with Depp when he was physically abusive.

Over the past few weeks, the headline-making legal battle has raged in Fairfax County, Virginia, where both actors have delivered emotional testimonies and sought to discredit each other. After their lawyers delivered closing arguments last Friday, it was expected that Depp and Heard would take some time to have a well-earned rest after appearing in court almost every day for a number of weeks.

While Metro reports that Heard has retreated to California to recuperate from the case, it looks like her former husband is taking a less relaxing approach.

Rather than keeping a low profile, Depp celebrated the end of the trial with a high-energy performance that left fans both shocked and delighted.

Some are even hoping that Depp will join Jeff for the London leg of his UK tour on May 30 and 31.

Meanwhile, jurors are still deliberating over their verdict on Depp and Heard's case. They could announce their decision any day.
