Julia Fox has revealed that she doesn’t like sex and that she is "desensitized" to it.
The 32-year-old actress appeared on Emily Ratajkowski's podcast, High Low with EmRata, and spoke openly about her difficult relationship with men due to her past career as a dominatrix.
When both women reflected on their experiences dating men, the 31-year-old model said the only thing she misses about dating is the sex, while, Fox said that she doesn't because she's "desensitized" to it.
"Sex for me always has been one-sided, but I think all women can say that. So it’s like if I don’t really need anything from you, I don’t see the point," Fox told Ratajkowski. "I’m really desensitized to sex, too. Like, it just - it’s not thrilling for me."
Julia Fox explains why she doesn't like sexWhen the podcast host said she "likes sex," Fox replied: "See, I don't. I can go without."
"I think when you’re sexualized so young, people think you’re really sexual," Ratajkowski told the PVT Chat actress. "And that’s always been a thing, [since] you were a dominatrix and everything."
Previously, the Uncut Gems star revealed that she started working in a "basement dungeon" at just 18 years old and got paid to fulfill men’s fantasies.
She told Paper Magazine in September this year, that during that time of her life, she viewed sex as transactional despite not actually having intercourse with the men.
During the job, Fox was expected to portray various roles such as an "evil teacher, domineering mother, nun or nurse" at the client's request for $250 an hour.
"I pretty much, in my teens, learned that I was a commodity and that I can get money or resources from men, so then it just became this game of, OK, how do I become more desirable so I could get more money and I could be like that b***h," she said on the podcast.
"It's still them giving me the power. It's not my own power, you know? So it's a humiliating kind of position to be in, or humbling, rather," she added.

While the actress said she's doing well now, there’s been damage done from her past experiences. She said that during her career days, she had to "disassociate" in order to get through some interactions.
"It’s crazy, but it's a survival mechanism," she said. "We do it to live, which is insane."
Furthermore, the No Sudden Move actress disclosed what she sees as a better option than sex, which is taking "ayahuasca and like see God, you know?" adding that that's "thrilling" and "cool" to her.
Now, Fox - who has a one-year-old son with ex-husband Peter Artemiev and was in a short relationship with Kanye West - is focusing on motherhood and completing creative projects that bring self-fulfillment, like her memoir.
