Julia Fox has opened up about why she ended her relationship with Kanye West.

Uncut Gems star Fox briefly dated the rapper and fashion designer - who has officially changed his name to 'Ye' - at the start of this year.

The pair met at a New Years' Eve Party on December 31, 2021, just a few months after West split from his wife and the mother of his four children, Kim Kardashian.

But after a much-publicized, whirlwind romance, Fox and West went their separate ways just a few weeks later in February 2022.

In a recent interview with the Evening Standard, the 32-year-old star briefly addressed their breakup, explaining that the romance quickly became unsustainable.

"I was just going day by day and seeing where it went," she told the outlet, adding: "It was just like, he still wants to hang out with me today, let's do it. And then real life set in and the lifestyle wasn't sustainable."

Fox - who shares a one-year-old son with her ex-husband Peter Artemiev - explained that she couldn't keep jetting off to visit West, saying: "I couldn't fly away once a week."

She went on to say that in the end, "I tapped out at the first sign of a red flag."

While Fox didn't specify the exact "red flag" that prompted her to dump West, she did hint that the rapper's "unresolved issues" put her off.

"It just seems like he had a lot to work on, and I just don't have time for it, or energy," she said, adding: "I don't have the bandwidth or emotional capacity for it. I'm proud of myself for that."

Around the time he was dating Fox, West began to speak publically about his ex-wife Kardashian and - in particular - her rumored boyfriend Pete Davidson.

In January, he released the song 'Eazy', alongside a video in which he appears to kidnap and bury a cartoon character who bears a striking resemblance to Saturday Night Live comedian Davidson.

The rapper also hit out at his ex-wife over her parenting techniques, criticizing her for allowing their eldest daughter North to use TikTok.
