Julia Fox has explained why she wore a matching black bra and underwear to a Pavilions grocery store in Hollywood, Los Angeles, on Sunday.
The 32-year-old actress has made headlines for her signature messy eyeliner look and creative outfits. This time, her grocery store ensemble is being discussed on social media.
The Uncut Gems star was spotted outside a supermarket in a two-piece set, which was topped with an Alexander Wang denim jacket. She complimented her jean theme with an interesting-looking denim jean purse and light wash denim boots that were accessorized with a pair of sunglasses and silver hoop earrings.
The actress shared a gallery of her papped look on Instagram with the caption: "My vibe is just preparing for the apocalypse [right now]."
An Instagram account called @tipsydrunk posted a meme of Fox packing her groceries into her car, while donning the daring outfit, to its 491,000 followers. It was captioned: "When it's laundry day but you have errands to run."
The actress then responded to the post in a now-deleted Instagram story defending her choice of clothing: "I just think if it’s socially acceptable at the beach, it should be the same everywhere."

The pictures of Fox's provocative look went viral on social media and users couldn't help but weigh in with their opinions on her outfit choice.
One user expressed love for the denim set: "Like I love it. I LOVE it."
Another jokily tweeted: "She is doing this for US. She is a true public servant and we should clap for her. She knows we need this (gentle celebrity chaos)."
A third focused on her interesting denim jean purse: "I love that she’s carrying her pants so when someone says 'where are your pants??' she can hold them up."
A fourth commented: "Do you know how hard it is to find jean pieces that match? But she got a jacket, shoes, AND [an] upside-down pants purse? Let her do it.. she deserves it at this point."
The designer of the two-piece set posted Fox's look on Instagram promoting their clothes and also emphasized that she is wearing bodywear: "It’s not underwear, it’s bodywear. coming soon."
Do you guys agree with Julia that wearing underwear at the grocery store should be socially acceptable?
