Justin Bieber and Kodak Black have reportedly been named in a lawsuit following a shooting at a Super Bowl afterparty last year.

Three people, including Black, were injured after being shot outside The Nice Guy in Los Angeles in February 2022 during an afterparty following Bieber's concert to celebrate Super Bowl weekend.

Around 10 shots were heard during the incident, per Daily Mail, including one which wounded the rapper's leg as he left the venue with Lil Baby and Gunna.

According to TMZ, a lawsuit has now been brought by Mark Schaefer and Adam Rahman, who claimed they were shot and severely injured in the incident, and want Bieber, Black, and the venue to bear responsibility.

In documents obtained by the publication, the alleged victims claim Black was a catalyst for the shooting after a fight allegedly broke out with the rapper's friends before Black allegedly took a swing at someone.

TMZ reported that the pair claims that security at the venue was not tight enough and that the security guards that were hired "couldn't handle the job", and want the venue, promoters, and performers to be held accountable.

Per the publication, the alleged victims claimed that Black "was trying to cause harm and escalate the situation and they're laying the blame for the shooting squarely on his shoulders".

The claimants are represented by Gloria Allred and are pursuing Black, Bieber, The Nice Guy, The Hwood Group, and Revolve Group, as well as the City of Los Angeles, the City of West Hollywood, and Los Angeles County for damages.

Black's attorney Bradford Cohen told the site: "I have seen a lot of bad complaints in my day. This is the most poorly drafted complaint I have seen in 26 years. I expect Kodak to be dismissed from this suit fairly quickly."

He added: "There is zero specificity in the complaint and Ms. Allred groups the defendants all together instead of making specific allegations against each. It's law school 101. I am embarrassed for Ms. Allred that she actually signed her name to that complaint."

Representatives for Bieber, Black, The Nice Guy, and The Hwood Group have yet to respond to requests for comment from the outlet.

The afterparty had seen a host of high-profile stars descend on the eatery following Bieber's concert, with attendees including Drake, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kendall Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, and Jeff Bezos.

Bieber and his wife Hailey Baldwin had been ushered out of the venue by security after the initial fight had broken out, being driven away in their vehicle.

Schaefer, an autograph hunter, had been seen being helped by a female as he sat on a sidewalk after a bullet hit him in the leg.

He was then transported to hospital where he underwent surgery to remove the bullet from his leg. Another man was also seen bleeding from an injury to his shoulder in photos from the night.
