Musician Justin Timberlake has been slammed for saying that "24-hour parenting is just not human" amid the lockdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
This comes as Timberlake, 39, isolates at one of his homes in Montanna with his wife Jessica Biel, 38, and their five-year-old son Silas.

Timberlake made the surprising revelation about having to parent around the clock on The Morning Mash Up on SiriusXM on Wednesday. He revealed that while he and his wife are doing fine, they've now reached the point where they could do with a break from parenting.
"We're mostly commiserating over the fact that just 24-hour parenting is just not human," Timberlake said, adding that Silas also needs a break from his mom and dad too at this stage.

"He gets a look," Timberlake said, eyes widening. "I'm like, 'Alright, cool, let's take a 20."
The hosts laughed before the singer added: "Alright, I got you. You know what I mean? Just a commercial break."
However, Timberlake's insight into life in isolation with his son did not go down well on social media, and he was slammed by a number of people.
Alongside a picture of the family, GQ columnist Sophia Benoit wrote: "You guys have one kid and millions of dollars i'm going to lose it."

A second remarked: "The fact that...24 hour parenting...was new...."

A third mercilessly added: "I'm parenting a toddler by myself, trying to simultaneously do that and work from home, and somehow expected to hold it together while my income was cut by 75%. I sincerely want them both punched in the face immediately."

Similarly, a fourth wrote: "Hey @jtimberlake, cry me a f**king river about how you're stuck in a mansion and '24-hour parenting isn't human.' While I'm working as a nurse, trying to spend time with my kids but hoping I don't contract this awful virus to spread to my family; you enjoy your life of leisure."

But Timberlake's comment about his son was not the only point of contention during the interview. People also took umbrage with him and Biel making the decision to flee to Montana.
"To be honest, we thought the best way to kind of do our part was - we have a place in Montana and so, we came up here," he said.
"We feel very lucky and kind of blessed that we’re in a place where - they're pretty socially distant here anyway where our place is," Timberlake said. "I mean just being able to kind of walk out into your driveway and maybe go for a little hike is always nice."
But per the New York Times, the decision some have made to flee to smaller towns has put a strain on their already limited resources, which is why those with the means to retreat to rural areas were encouraged to stay away.
One Twitter user wrote: "We have no resources and are currently crowdsourcing medical supplies. So how do we tell these clueless ppl to donate at least $50k towards PPE for our healthcare workers if they want to be 'real' Montanans. $100k and I'll even find them a belt buckle."

A second sarcastically added: "We thought the best way to do our part was to potentially spread the virus to rural communities."

Fans were also unimpressed earlier this year when Timberlake posted a heartfelt birthday message to Biel on social media.
