Kathy Hilton is being slammed on social media after she confused singer Lizzo for Precious actor Gabourey Sidibe.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star made the blunder while appearing on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live.

During the show, the 63-year-old put her memory to the test in a game called 'Will! Kathy! Know! Them!?", in which she was asked to identify different celebrities.

Hilton got off to a rocky start by failing to name both Justin Timberlake and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. However, things went from bad to straight up awkward when she was shown an image of pop-star Lizzo.

"I feel like I do," Hilton said when asked if she knew who Lizzo was. The reality star then hazarded a guess: "Precious?"

The RHOBH alum appeared to have gotten Lizzo, 34, mixed up with actor Sidibe, who starred in the title role of the 2009 film Precious.

An uncomfortable moment ensued, in which Cohen hid behind his cue cards and Hilton's co-star Crystal Kung Minkoff tried to diffuse the tension by saying: "She is precious, though. Lizzo’s precious."

Hilton added: "That’s what I call her. Her nickname is Precious to me."

While the audience may have laughed awkwardly, many people on social media did not think the blunder was funny. Viewers took to Twitter to slam Hilton, claiming her mistake had racist undertones.

"Kathy Hilton referring to Lizzo as 'precious' has so many racist undertones to it. I get she’s ditzy and it’s funny at times but this was just rude & disrespectful," one person tweeted.

Another agreed. "Kathy Hilton damn well know Lizzo ain't Precious, a FICTIONAL character. That's mad disrespectful, racist, and fatphobic."

However, others leaped to Hilton's defense. One person pointed out that the reality star could barely recognize her own sister, Kyle Richards, who she famously mistook for co-star Garcelle Beauvais.

"Kathy Hilton was not being racist by calling Lizzo Precious! She is so out of touch with reality she thought Garcelle was Kyle so that says a lot itself," they tweeted.

"I’m tickled that the internet is in such an uproar about Kathy Hilton not knowing who Lizzo is. Y’all must not watch RHOBH in real life.. that lady DOESN’T know anyone she’s innocent," another added.
