Keke Palmer has hit back at trolls who commented on her appearance after she was pictured without make-up.

Following the release of new photos of the 29-year-old and her boyfriend, Darius Jackson, the actress was forced to address the cruel comments some had posted in response.

Taking to Twitter, Palmer slammed haters that were making remarks about her skin texture - which is totally normal by the way!

"I just saw a few comments of [sic] ppl saying I was ugly cause I wasn’t wearing any makeup. And I really want y’all to get the help y'all need because makeup isn’t real," she started. "I’m beautiful in real life, because of who I am, not what I look like."

The Hustlers star also added that while she is extremely confident with who she is, comments about people's appearances generally could affect others.

"I wish I could bottle how I feel about myself and sell it," she tweeted in a follow-up. "Because some people take comments to heart and these ppl just say anything. I mean truly it’s insane to say anyone is ugly, but especially me."

Social media users took to the comments to praise Palmer for her response.

"Ms. Palmer, it makes me feel wonderful to know that you of all people feel good about yourself! You deserve to! You’re a marvellous actor and singer, and you make glorious contributions to the world! An’ Professor, so do you! Both of you are extraordinary and magnificent people!" Wrote one user.

"You're beautiful inside and out. Talented, beautiful, smart, and funny. Your baby is blessed to have you as its momma," added another, while a third described her as "radiant."

"Get them Keke! you are literally one of the most beautiful women out there and you’re even more radiant now that you’re pregnant!"

Ain't that the truth!

The only thing this has emphasized is how much social media has influenced beauty standards to the point where they've become unrealistic. Skin is naturally textured. Blemishes, fine lines, and acne scarring is completely normal and if you think otherwise, then I'd suggest taking a break from the internet and coming back down to real life.

Palmer is one of the many celebrities that like to keep it real with us, and for that, we appreciate her.

In other more positive news, the 29-year-old revealed that she was pregnant during an episode of Saturday Night Live over the weekend.

During her opening monologue, she announced to the live studio audience as well as viewers watching at home that she is soon to become a mom.

"I gotta say, it is bad when people on the internet spread rumors about you, but it’s even worse when they’re correct!", she joked after unveiling her bump to a cheering crowd.

Later on, she also quipped: "Even though some people feel a little weird about me having a baby because I was a child actor... I just wanna say, look, I'm 29, I'm grown, I have sex, I own a home, I stormed the Capitol on January 6, you know? Things adults do."

When speaking of her relationship with Darius Jackson last year, she noted that even though she tried her best to keep her relationship under wraps, it became too difficult towards the end.

"We spend all this time together, and he really is my closest friend, so it just becomes a thing where I'm not gonna hide something that makes me happy."
